About
An independent directory of NZ mānuka apiaries
We don't sell honey. We don't take cuts from the apiaries we list. We just point buyers — domestic and international — at MPI-certified apiaries that can prove what's in the jar.
Why this exists
The retail volume of "mānuka honey" globally is several times what NZ actually produces. That gap is mostly counterfeit, dilution, or relabel — and it's harming both buyers (who don't get what they paid for) and the small NZ apiaries (whose product is being undermined). This directory is one small attempt to make the legitimate side of the market easier to find.
How we pick listings
The bar to be listed: MPI-export-certified, holds an active UMF licence or transparently publishes MGO numbers, operates from a real NZ apiary location, and has an owner-operator we can verify. We rotate listings as the scene evolves.
How (and whether) we make money
Right now: we don't. Eventually, light affiliate revenue (clearly disclosed) and possibly paid premium listings (clearly tagged). None of those are live yet, and no monetisation will ever change which apiary we point you at — paid placement will always be tagged.
Important caveat
We don't provide medical advice. The therapeutic-use notes on this site are summaries of common practice — for any wound or sustained therapeutic use, talk to a healthcare provider. Mānuka can be wonderful, but it's a food first.
