What does delivery cost?
Not set. Rates come from a real courier or NZ Post business account, and they will appear here — and on every product page — the day they exist. Until then there is nothing to buy, so there is nothing to charge you for.
Rural delivery is a choice you make at checkout.Stripe can't tell an RD address from an urban one, so if you're rural you select the rural option. If you don't and you are, the parcel takes longer and we may have to ask for the difference.
When do you dispatch?
On stated dispatch days, which will be printed on every product page and repeated in the Stripe checkout before you pay. We won't promise a delivery date, for a gift or anything else — we don't control the courier, and a date we can't keep is worse than no date.
How is it packed?
Sealed producer jars, unopened, in packaging drop-tested before the first order. We never decant, repack or relabel, which means the jar you get is the jar the producer sealed, with their label, their grade and their licence number on it.
What if it arrives broken?
Send us a photo within 7 days and we'll replace it or refund it, our choice of which unless you have a preference. Glass in the post breaks sometimes. That is our problem, not yours, and you don't need to post broken glass back to us.
What if I just change my mind?
Unopened, seal intact, within 14 days: post it back at your cost and we'll refund the goods. Once a food jar is opened it can't come back unless it's faulty — that isn't us being difficult, it's what selling food means.
A gift order is refunded to whoever paid for it, not to the recipient, because that's whose card it went on.
What the law gives you anyway
The Consumer Guarantees Act applies to everything we sell. Goods must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose and match their description. If honey arrives faulty, isn't what the page said it was, or the grade on the jar doesn't match what we published, that's a failure to comply and you're entitled to a remedy — regardless of what any term on this site says.
Nothing on this page limits those rights. Consumer Protection explains them here.
The subscription
Delivery is included in the subscription price rather than added at checkout — Stripe only supports shipping rates on one-off payments. You can cancel from the link in every email, effective at the end of the cycle you've paid for, and we don't refund a box that's already been dispatched. More on the subscription.
Do you ship overseas?
Not at launch. New Zealand addresses only. Glass in an international parcel is an expensive problem and we haven't solved it; several of the producers we link to ship overseas themselves.
Everything on this page that isn't yet true is marked as not yet true. It's updated the day a courier account exists, and what we couldn't source is listed here.
