Where we stand today
- Stock: none. No wholesale account with any producer is signed, so nothing on this site is for sale.
- Affiliate links: none. We have no approved affiliate arrangement with any brand mentioned on this site. Every "Buy from…" link is plain.
- Paid placement: none, ever. No brand or producer has paid, or can pay, to appear on this site, to rank higher in a table, or to have anything removed from one.
- Sponsored content: none. Nothing on this site was written for, by or with a brand.
What happens when an affiliate programme is approved
Several New Zealand mānuka brands run affiliate programmes, and we intend to apply. When one is approved, four things happen at once, and none of them is a footnote:
- That brand's card says so, above the link, with the network and the rate.
- The link gains
rel="sponsored nofollow". - This page names the brand, the network and the rate.
- The order of every table stays exactly as it was.Our tables are ordered by price per 100 g, and an affiliate arrangement cannot move a row. If we ever change how a table is ordered, we'll say so on the table.
What happens when we stock a brand
Its row in the price tablewill say “we stock this”, and its card will too. That is a commercial interest and we'd rather you saw it stated than worked it out. It still won't move the row.
Things this site will never do for money
- Rank a brand higher because of a commission or an account.
- Remove a brand from a comparison because they asked.
- Publish a rating, review or “best” badge of any kind — there are none here at all.
- Make a health claim about honey. We sell food. Nothing on this site is health advice.
- List a jar we can't ship, or a grade we haven't read off the producer's label.
